Mary, Did You Know?

One of the most beloved modern Christmas songs, "Mary, Did You Know?" was written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene and has been recorded by everyone from Kathy Mattea to Pentatonix. Its haunting melody and questioning lyric — addressed to a young mother about the child she's holding — have made it a fixture of holiday concerts, church services, and Christmas playlists since the early 1990s.
