Lee Mavers wrote "There She Goes" for The La's in 1988, and it has outlived almost everything around it — a two-minute jangle-pop miniature built on one of the most quietly perfect guitar figures in British rock. Sixpence None The Richer's 1999 cover carried it to American radio and turned it into a standard, and it has been drifting through films, weddings and late-night playlists ever since. This string quartet arrangement follows Steve Horner's version rather than the Sixpence None The Richer original — part of the Perfect for Weddings series, and equally at home during the processional, the cocktail hour, or a first dance for a couple who wanted something recognizable that isn't on every list.
